The Merlin Academy
The Merlin Music Academy was founded in 2011. We are based in the very pretty Borders town of Melrose. Since then we have been teaching hundreds of students Traditional, Folk, Blues, Rock & Pop, Jazz, Country and Acoustic music of all ages, kids and adults ranging from absolute beginners to intermediate/advanced within our Academy in Melrose and Studio in North Berwick. Group and 1:1 lessons as well as Online lessons are available. All our tutors are fully PVG registered and passionate about teaching Music. We are all extremely passionate about offering first class music tuition within a friendly, supportive and very importantly fun environment. We believe that music tuition should be available to everyone with an interest in music and you are never too old to learn. You do not need to be able to read music either!
The Merlin Ethos is very much one of that Music should be Inclusive and Accessible to everyone. All our teaching is under one roof which has allowed us to build a sense of Community and Family as well as a real Buzz about the building. Once you take that step of starting your musical journey with us you will feel the warm welcome and lively hub of music, friendship and, of course, a safe learning space.
The Office/Reception still look forward to welcoming you and will also be based within Palma Place as well as a small waiting space where you will be able to get a cup of tea/coffee.
The Merlin Music Team
We have a great team of people working hard at the Academy behind the scenes. Bridget can be found in the Merlin Office. Bridget is responsible for bookings, billing, marketing and keeping all the students informed of what is happening.
